- Selected by the FBI after the events of September 11, 2001 to help establish a National Data Exchange Program
- First officer in department history to be completely promoted through the ranks of Deputy, Corporal, Sergeant, and Lieutenant.
Procured more than $800,000 of equipment, including ballistic vests, vehicles and weapons through military programs - all at no expense to Cabell County taxpayers.
- Developed and taught the department Firearms Safety and Training course from 1989 through retirement in 2007, which approximately 4,600 participants completed.
- Department firearms instructor since 1990.
- Worked in all divisions of the department: Patrol, Courts & Processing, and the Detective Bureau.
